STC | Home Works Housing Blitz

STC Web Logo.jpg

We will host our Home Works Housing Blitz for our family of churches on October 21 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. We will spend Saturday fixing homes for those who are unable to do the work themselves. The work will consist of landscaping, painting, interior home repair, and other home improvement needs.

This event is for all adults and is a great way to use your carpentry or painting skills to serve people in our city. Middle and high school students can accompany their parents. Volunteers can sign up for half day shifts if they can't make it all day.

For more information, contact Richard Pierson.

Recovery

Recovery is a group that meets in an 11 week cycle to help people achieve freedom and healing from issues that seem unbeatable in their lives. It is for anyone facing a battle in their life—personal sin struggles, dealing with emotional scars, or any other issue. It's a safe, family environment where you can come and deal honestly and openly with your struggles, and let Jesus begin to heal and free you in the midst of biblical family.

We gather for a short time of worship and teaching, then we break up into gender specific small groups for discussion, encouragement, and prayer. For more information, visit our Recovery page.

We meet Monday evenings at 6:00pm at our Downtown location. The Recovery curriculum will be provided for you. Childcare can be provided if needed. If you’re attending and need childcare, contact Ryan Rike.

Theological Foundations Class

Our Theological Foundations Class serves as an intro to basic Christian beliefs and doctrine. Throughout the class, we'll unpack these different ideas and see how they form us into a Jesus-Centered Family on Mission. This is a great way to get connected if you're not in a LifeGroup yet or if you just want to learn more about Christian theology.

Theological Foundations Class will be held each Sunday at 11:00am in our office located at 1819 Taylor Street. The first round of classes will be from September 10 to November 12

Food Truck Thursday

FoodTruckThursday_WEB.jpg

Each Thursday, we are inviting everyone working in the Columbia area to come out to our offices at 1819 Taylor Street for Food Truck Thursday from 11:30am-1:30pm. We will open up our office for anyone to come hang out, shoot some pool, play some ping pong, and enjoy some delicious food. We want to encourage everyone to invite their friends and coworkers out to lunch. We think this will be an easy way for us to be missional in our city.
