Connect Card
Since we believe church is a family, not an event, we want to see people get plugged in and form lasting real relationships. The best way to do this is by filling out our digital connect card so we can get in contact with you.
LifeGroups
Life isn't meant to be done on our own, and LifeGroups are the main way we experience meaningful relationships with Jesus and one another - where we take what we learned on Sundays and put it into practice throughout the week.
What is a LifeGroup?
A LifeGroup is more than a small group or a Bible study - it’s a group of people who desire to be a Jesus-centered family on mission. Our mission as a Jesus-centered family is to help everyone take the next steps toward Jesus. This means LifeGroups are always inviting new people into their LifeGroup and training up new leaders to launch new LifeGroups in our city. Regardless of your age or religious background, there’s a place for you.
Events
One of the best ways to get connected to our church family is by attending the variety of events we host throughout the year. From classes to outreach opportunities, we hope that our events bring us together as a family and help us look more and more like the people of God. Below you can see a handful of upcoming events.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is our main focus at Midtown?
Our vision as a church is to be a Jesus-centered family on mission. We believe this is the most biblically faithful picture of what the church is called to be and it influences everything we do on Sundays and throughout the week.
Why do you call Sunday mornings “Gatherings”? Why don’t you call it a “Service”?
We call Sunday mornings our “Gatherings” because the church is not just an event you attend for spiritual goods and services, it’s a family to belong to with an emphasis on God’s people gathered together.
What do you normally teach on Sundays?
Sunday sermons usually last 35-45 minutes and generally fall under two categories of teaching: expositional studies—walking through a book of the Bible verse-by-verse—and canonical studies—walking through a theme of the Bible.
Why are there multiple teachers at Midtown?
Midtown Fellowship has a teaching team so that we don’t become dependent on any one person or only hear from one voice. Pastors from our church share in the teaching responsibilities.
Do you have a Senior Pastor?
No, we do not have a Senior Pastor. We believe that the biblical model is a plurality of elders who make decisions together. So, we are led by a pastoral team that holds one another accountable and provides leadership to our entire church. To see our leadership and staff click the button below.
How do you approach ministry to families?
Our family ministry is built around our Milestones program. Milestones is an 18-year program personalized for families with the goal of giving you a comprehensive plan for parenting. As a part of Milestones, Kidtown is available for children age 0 to 5th grade during our Sunday Gatherings. For those with babies, we have changing stations available in bathrooms and a nursing room upstairs with sermon audio for your convenience.
Other than Sunday Gatherings, what are your other primary programs?
LifeGroups are made up of 10-20 people who meet throughout the city to live life in community and follow Jesus together. We take what we learned on Sundays and put it into practice throughout the week.
Student Groups is available for students 6th-12th grade on Wednesday nights during the school year with special events throughout the summer.
Serve the City is our partnership with organizations throughout the city to serve those in need. Throughout the year we host a variety of events to support these organizations and the people they serve.
Recovery is a group that meets in a 10-week cycle to help people achieve freedom and healing from issues that seem unbeatable in their lives. Recovery is offered twice a year and is available for anyone.
How do I get involved?
To know what we’re about, we highly recommend signing up for a LifeGroup or the next Midtown Class. We also have Connect staff and volunteers in the lobby who would love to connect with you and tell you more about how to take the next steps with us.
