Holiday Schedule | No Gatherings on December 23 & 30

2018 Holiday Schedule_Downtown Web.png

In light of the holiday season, we will not be hosting Sunday Gatherings on December 23 or December 30. We will be hosting a small Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, which you can find the details for here. Each year around Christmas, we take two weeks off to allow our staff time with their families, and to remind ourselves that church is more than a Gathering. If you're interested in finding out why we take time off you can head here.

Gatherings will resume on January 6 at 9:00am and 11:15am.

Personal Finance Seminar

Personal Finance Web.jpg

We will host our Personal Finance Seminar for our family of churches on Saturday, January 26 from 9:00am - 3:00pm. The Bible and Jesus speaks regularly about money and possessions. In His ministry, Jesus regularly connected the way we handle money as a direct pointer to our spiritual state. We want to equip and help our church family to steward the financial resources that God has entrusted to them for His glory. Our Personal Finance Seminar will provide practical training on how to manage finances as a Christian and will include topics like paying off debt, budgeting, generosity, and investing.

The event will be in our Student Groups Building at 1819 Taylor Street.
Lunch and childcare will be provided.

For more information on the seminar, please contact Wesley Butler

Recovery

Recovery is a group that meets in a 10-week cycle to help people achieve freedom and healing from issues that seem unbeatable in their lives. It is for anyone facing a battle in their life—personal sin struggles, dealing with emotional scars, or any other issue. It's a safe, family environment where you can come and deal honestly and openly with your struggles, and let Jesus begin to heal and free you in the midst of biblical family.

We gather for a short time of worship and teaching, then we break up into gender-specific small groups for discussion, encouragement, and prayer. For more information, visit our Recovery page.

We meet Monday evenings at 6:00pm in our Student Groups Building at 1819 Taylor Street. The Recovery curriculum will be provided for you. Childcare can be provided if needed. If you’re attending and need childcare, contact Ryan Rike.

Join us on Sunday, November 4 from 5:00pm-6:00pm and invite your friends to our first ever city-wide Family Worship Night. One way we do that is by hosting events that help support family discipleship and keep our families connected with one another. At our Family Worship Night we’ll sing some of our favorite Kidtown songs, pray, and read scripture together.

Sundays in the Park

New Sundays in the Park Web NOV.jpg

On November 4th at 2:00pm, we want every LifeGroup to go hang out at one of the parks in our city. We want LifeGroups to connect with other LifeGroups in their neighborhood, meet other people in their neighborhood who aren't a part of our church family, and invite those we are building with to come hang out and spend time together.

Every LifeGroup should plan on going to the park that corresponds to where their LifeGroup meets.

Shandon, Rosewood - Emily Douglas Park
Forest Acres and Garners Ferry - Citadel Park
Earlewood and North Main - Roy Lynch Park
West Columbia - Felton C Benton Park
College - USC Horseshoe

We look forward to spending time together and taking steps towards Every Group Around the Pool at Sundays in the Park!
